Barclay Crop Protection comes with PRIDE

Barclay Crop Protection comes with PRIDE to this year's Cereals Event, to be held at Vine Farm, Royston, on 10 and 11 June.

PRIDE will take centre-stage on Barclay's stand (864) at the UK's top arable event, which attracts more than 22,000 people every year.

"PRIDE is the essence of every Barclay product," says Barclay's UK manager Eric Gussin, "being completely indicative of our obligation to maintain and improve the performance of our products.

"Post-patent chemistry - Barclay's specialism - has made great strides in recent years," continues Mr Gussin, "as growers and their advisers display an increasing acceptance, and indeed an expectation, that new products shouldn't be just about the molecule."

It's these post-patent products, says Mr Gussin, that receive the most benefit from PRIDE.

"Issues about quality control, technical advice, label support and continuity of supply - whether or not well-founded - have often made growers wary of post-patents.

"But by applying the PRIDE principles, Barclay can deliver the reassurance of tried and trusted active ingredients, whilst offering all the benefits growers would expect from a major multinational brand.

"PRIDE is about five 'commitments'," Mr Gussin goes on to explain, "which are applied to all stages from formulation to field.  These are to Perform; to Research; to Innovate; to Develop; and to Excel.

"While terrifically simple to explain, PRIDE also demonstrates the complexity our approach, and our commitment to fostering complete confidence in our growing range of products."
