Barclay Crop Protection creates new business role

European post-patent specialist Barclay Crop Protection has announced the appointment of Rob King as Business Development Manager.

The newly created role reflects Barclay's growth plans and carries with it the responsibility of augmenting the Barclay product range throughout Europe.  Mr. King will coordinate projects alongside Barclay's partners to develop new crop protection solutions and combination products.

"Barclay's business model is based firmly on finding and developing partnerships, whether for manufacturing or supply," says Mr King.  "We already have many very strong and well known brands, such as Gallup, in the post-patent market.

"I'm tasked with finding and establishing new relationships to expand the product range, and managing the new brands through to launch."

Barclay continues to invest in top quality EU registration portfolios for several important active ingredients, many of which will form the cornerstones of these new projects.

Mr King joins from the UK-based independent research organisation The Arable Group, where he was membership development manager.  Previously he was with the niche post patent plant growth regulator specialist, Fine Agrochemicals, as international sales and marketing manager.
